Okoa Jamii Arts Initiative is a Community-Based Organization, Non-Profit, and Non-Governmental Organization established in August 2022 to assist in spearheading community driven development initiatives and enabling needy community groups to participate in integrated activities (art) to achieve quality livelihood and self-sufficiency. OJAI employs art (acting, dancing, singing, poetry, spoken word, drumming) to foster sustainable communities, intercultural exchange, and thriving slums/estates in our country.
OJAI promotes empowerment and intercultural exchange among Kenyan and international communities (short and long-term volunteering), youth mobility, social inclusion, arts and physical activities, community development, and peace promotion for the sake of unity.

Raise community awareness of social protection and justice.

Educate the community in the use of symbols and signs to demonstrate knowledge that cannot be expressed in words.
Reinforce and strengthen a sense of identity and ideological attachment to specific political views, parties, and/or individuals.
OJAI's target group includes orphans, youths, vulnerable children and street kids, people living with HIV and AIDS, people with mental problems, people with disabilities, widows, men and women who live in Uasin Gishu county and its environs.
